The International Phantom Association & Phantom International in partnership with Aloha Attitude, Foiling Generation, and the FFV will run the first International Phantom Championships from the 8th to the 13th September 2018 in Brest, France.
These Championships are open to all Phantom Elite and Essentiel owners and will give international sailors the opportunity to compete in various race formats such as long distance, course racing and stadium racing.
Inspired by the 90’s Hobie Cat events and boosted by updated race formats, the Championships will gather amateur sailors together with semi-professional and professional sailors during five days.
The Phantom Championships will take place in Brest, France, one week before the Finist’Air Sailing. The Medal Race on the last day of the Championships will be organised on the first day of the Finist’Air Sailing to create a grand opening and attract more spectators to the events.
Aloha Attitude Director Christophe Boutet is known for having organised two PWA (Professional Windsurfing Association) events in La Torche, France and will co-organise the next RS:X Youth World Championships in 2018. With the International Phantom Championships, he will deliver a Premium Flying Cat event with adrenaline races, VIP experience, and a fantastic atmosphere ashore.
